Asher Kalef, CAL. STATE-SAN BERNARDINO 2011, was initiated into the Fraternity on June 6, 2009, and became Consul of his chapter the following year. After graduating, he immediately joined the Cal. State-San Bernardino chapter advisor’s board and eventually became assistant chapter advisor. After attending Alumni Facilitation Training at the 2012 Balfour Leadership Training Workshop (LTW), now called the Krach Transformational Leaders Workshop, he began facilitating Journey chapter development programs in his area. In 2013, he joined the Consul faculty team at Balfour LTW, which he now serves as vice chairman. In 2014, he became a Ritual Peer and Assistant Grand Praetor, and in 2015, was elected Grand Praetor of the Southern California province. In the 2017 to 2019 biennium, he served on the Chapter and Member Accountability Committee and Mission 365 recruitment training workshop committee, and became a Horizons Huntsman Leadership Summit Guide — facilitating at the summit for the first time in June 2019. His favorite moment as a Grand Praetor so far was the installation of Cal. State-San Marcos chapter in November 2015.
Professionally, Kalef is a strategic account manager for Anaheim Broadcasting Co., focusing on new business development, customer service and market research. In his free time — of which Sigma Chi takes a lot of — he enjoys travel, golf and anything to do with cars.
