ALUMNI SUBMISSIONS

So you're not a Chapter Editor, but you've got something that just has to be in The Mag? Great! Lots of our content comes from alumni who send us stories, or story ideas. We encourage you to do the same.

Though submitting is a simple process, please realize how much content The Magazine's editors receive from members. An attempt is always made to publish member-sent information, though sometimes an article is held for another issue and other times it's used in another Fraternity medium (such as this Web site).

Our guess is that you are here for one of four reasons:

1) You would like to submit information about a Sig alumnus for our "Significance" section. Perhaps this Sig was profiled in his local paper, or won an award, or scaled a mountain. Terrific. To share this news with us, simply click here, type, and send it to the Editor.

2) You would like to update meeting/contact information for your Alumni Chapter. To send us this information, simply click here, type, and send it to the Alumni office.

3) You would like to submit your quarterly report of activities to The Magazine for your Alumni Chapter. To send us this information, simply click here, type, and send it to The Magazine office.

4) You would like to submit a photograph of a Sig reunion, event, or what have you. Please mail your photograph (that is, a real, lab-processed photograph, not a copy of a digital image you printed from your laser-jet printer) to Editor / 1714 Hinman Ave. / Evanston, IL / 60201 . You say you only have a digital image? Odds are we can't use it (nor could any magazine). If you know for certain that your file is 300 dpi, then let us know and we'll take a look. But the key here is this: real photographs.

The deadlines are as follows:

Spring issue (mails mid-February): Dec. 15
Summer issue (mails mid-May): March 15
Fall issue (mails August): July 15 (just photos w/captions)
Winter issue (mails mid-November): Sept. 15
