About
Peter

Hailing from the great state of Michigan, Peter earned his Bachelor Degree from The University of Michigan, Ann Arbor within the School of Literature, Science and Arts in 1998. After gaining several years of professional work experience, Peter returned to graduate school to study business, earning his degree of Master of Business Administration from Oakland University with a dual concentration in Accounting and Finance.

Post graduate careers have granted him diverse professional experiences within purchasing, traditional and digital printing cost analysis, and as a Controller for over seven years in the insurance-focused collision repair industry.

Peter has called Chicago home since moving to the “big city” in 2004. He enjoys his neighborhood of Logan Square within the city where he and his family take advantage of its many parks, green open spaces, award-winning restaurants, and diverse cultural charms.

In addition to being the lucky husband of his wonderful wife, Rachael, Peter is the very proud father of an exuberant young daughter whose bright eyes and boundless energy offer him daily inspiration.

While an accountant by trade, Peter also enjoys stepping away from the computer screen and getting his hands a little dirty. His interests include outdoor sports, home improvement and renovation projects, riding and restoring modern and vintage motorcycles, and as founder of Wood House Pipes, carving hand-made briar, artisan tobacco pipes, just to name a few.

Eager to contribute to Sigma Chi Fraternity’s storied history of education, philanthropy, and fostering young leaders, Peter is proud to be a part of such a highly respected and long-standing organization. He looks forward to supporting the Fraternity’s many altruistic functions and working alongside all of its members; past, present, and future.
